From March 18 to April 9, 2014, the “Istmo de Ofqui Expedition 2014” explored the Laguna San Rafael National Park, in the Aysén Region. The sector of incredible scenic, cultural and patrimonial beauty is emblematic of these southern lands. To study it, a group of 15 professionals and researchers linked to various disciplines (botany, geology, biology, anthropology, tourism, among others) teamed up with the intention of gathering important information on a fragile and unknown ecosystem that is already subject to tourism, fishing and industrial activities.
