Course on Scientific Tourism organized by the International Network for Scientific Tourism.
This biannual seminar contemplates the internationalization of tourism studies as well as the importance of paying attention to the challenges posed by local and global dynamics as well as structural changes with the intensification of flows, new economic-social designs, interconnectivity and virtuality linked to new technologies.
This scenario highlights the importance of promoting the strengthening of institutional alliances and innovation inknowledge-based developments, collective and territorial intelligency. This year 2021, seeking to expand and consolidate this approach. The theme chosen is “knowledge-based tourism and territorial development”. Scientific tourism and its possible role in renewing practices and mobilities in a context of major socio-environmental challenges will be highlighted.
